The lecture was given by Hieromonk Seraphim (Balenko), a cleric of the Holy Trinity Church in Bataysk and at the same time, a candidate of chemical sciences and a lecturer at Rostov State Medical University.

The speaker drew the audience’s attention to the fact that it seems appropriate and useful to turn to the authority of the Church nowadays solving current bioethical dilemmas, such as “Euthanasia” and “Termination of Pregnancy.” Appealing to the latest achievements of medical science, the lecturer presented illustrations and statistics.
Traditionally, a discussion followed the lecture. The audience actively asked the church ‘s clergy the questions on the topic of the presentation.
