The event dedicated to the celebration of the New Year was organized for international students of Rostov State Medical University.
Russian Language and Culture Department organized meeting which brought together international students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of the Faculty of General Medicine, Pediatrics and Pharmacy.
The festive program was full of creative performances, vocal and choral performances of New Year’s songs and theatrical mini-plays.
The presentation on the history of the New Year’s celebration was presented, and a master class on making Christmas decorations was held.
Russian students of the 1st year of the 19th group of the Faculty of General Medicine, and 1st year students of the 4th group of the Faculty of Pediatrics took part in the organization of the event.
The students perfectly played the roles of Father Christmas and the Snow Maiden, Baba Yaga and a wood demon, wizards, snowflakes and other characters.
Galina Dmitrievna Sknar the Head of Russian Language and Culture Department said that events of this kind stimulate international students’ interest in the Russian language and culture, as well as expand opportunities for creating a favorable atmosphere of intercultural dialogue at Rostov Medical University.
