Students of the Preparatory Faculty on Training Foreign Citizens from Angola, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Guinea, Israel, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Lebanon, Morocco, Mongolia, Syria, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Tadjikistan participated in the event which was held at the university museum as part of a project “We love Russia. Choosing RostSMU”.
The head of the museum of RostSMU Tatyana Vladimirovna Kraevskaya warmly welcomed foreign students and employees of the Russian Language Department No. 1.
The students talked about their medical dynasties. Thus, the father of the student Shaddud Zayn from Syria studied in Russia and made a significant contribution to the development of medicine in his country. Now he is the head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the university. After graduating from the Preparatory Faculty, his son who considers the profession of a doctor to be one of the noblest and most necessary will continue his training at RostSMU. Al Ghul Hussein from Lebanon is also a representative of the medical dynasty. His uncle inspired Hussein to become a surgeon.
Foreign students read poems about doctors with expression and performed the songs “People in white coats”, “In the family”. Students also performed other musical compositions in chorus.
The head of the Russian Language Department No. 1 Irina Anatolievna Tropina: «Currently, the children, grandchildren and nephews of foreigners who graduated from RostSMU and other medical universities in our country have achieved significant success in learning Russian and other disciplines. Many of them are winners and prize-winners of numerous Olympiads and they successfully reach their goals and keep going.”
