Festival Opening Ceremony. Listening to the anthem of the Russian Federation
Last Sunday, May 21, the students of the Preparatory Faculty on Training Foreign Citizens visited the Festival of Slavonic Writing and Culture, which took place on the Cathedral Square of our city. Among the guests and spectators of the annual celebration were the vice governor of the Don region Igor Guskov, the Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk – the head of the Don Metropolis – Mercury, school pupils, cadets, the students of Art Schools of the city and other citizens.
International students enjoyed the great concert of choirs and brass bands with participation of the RF North Caucasus District National Guard Headquarters Military Band.
The spectators were fascinated by the march-parade of six professional brass bands, as well as children’s and youth brass bands of the Rostov region.
Students Saleh Hasan (Lebanon), Ayisy Gordon (Ghana), as well as professors of Russian O.S. Melikova and T.P. Lebedeva, shared their impressions of the festival with the reporter of Don-TR broadcasting company, who interviewed them.
