7-9 August 2016 the Rostov region was visited by the delegation of the Republic of India under the leadership of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation Mr. Pankaj Saran. The purpose of the visit — to hold meetings with the leadership of the Rostov region, the compatriots living in the city of Rostov-on-Don, visits to leading businesses and educational institutions in the area.
During the visit the Indian party has met on August 8 with the administration, students and interns of the Rostov State Medical University. The Vice-Chancellor on Training Foreign Citizens and International Cooperation, MD, Professor Gafiyatullina Gyuzyal Sh. has introduced to the Ambassador the presentation in English about RSMU educational and scientific activities, and also has told about our University cooperation experience with the Republic of India.
The Rostov State Medical University has a long association with India. University has trained more than 500 medical scientific and pedagogical personnel for the Republic of India on the program of pre-university and university (including English intermediary until 2013), as well as post-graduate education.
Our University was visited by officials of the Republic of India. Within Days of the Rostov region in Embassy of the Republic of India the presentation about the RSMU international educational activity has been presented in English. The representatives of our University professors and teaching staff took part in the leading Indian universities educational process: Yasanis E.S. — University of Delhi (Old Delhi University), Seyfulina L.L. — University of Lucknow.
During a meeting with the Ambassador of India in the Russian Federation Mr. Pankaj Saran the RSMU heads has proposed to attract a bigger number of the Indian nationals for training in our higher education institution in pre-university and high school programs (including in the English intermediate language), postgraduate education; and also to sign contracts on the international cooperation between the leading medical educational institutions of India and RSMU with a view to developing cooperation in the field of medical education, science and practice for the exchange of experiences and the optimization of training of medical and scientific-pedagogical personnel. Such contracts provide implementation of the academic mobility of all participants of educational process, holding joint scientific and educational forums and scientific and practical conferences.
