The VI Regional Scientific and Educational Student Conference «The History of the greatest discoveries in Medicine and Technology» was held at the Department of Russian Language No. 2 of the Faculty on Training Foreign Citizens, Residents and Postgraduates of RostSMU.

Students of 2nd-3rd courses of the Faculty of General Medicine of RostSMU training in English medium, students of the Southern Federal University and Novocherkassk Engineering and Land Reclamation Institute named after A.K. Kortunov of the Don State Agrarian University presented interesting reports on famous scientists of the past and present and their brilliant discoveries.

Students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon and Russia presented colorful presentations on a wide range of issues: from the discoveries of Sushruta, the founder of ancient Indian surgery, to laser technologies in modern surgery. They introduced the participants to discoveries and inventions that save millions of lives, help fight pain and previously incurable diseases. During the conference, the problems of personalized medicine, laser surgery, inventions and the use of measuring devices for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases were discussed.
