International students of RostSMU got acquainted with the traditions of the Russian Cossacks.
On December 8, RostSMU hosted an event dedicated to the Day of the Cossack Mother, in which international students of 5. and 6. courses studying at RostSMU in the intermediary English-medium actively participated.
The celebration allowed young foreigners to get acquainted in a clear way with the history and cultural values of the Cossacks, the role and importance of a mother woman in the Russian society.
— The purpose of this event is the inculturation of foreign students, — said Elena Anatolyevna Nosacheva, vice-dean at the Faculty on Training foreign students and postgraduates of RostSMU.
The guest of the holiday, academician Yuri Nikolaevich Kruglov, stressed that Indian and Russian culture have a lot of common stuffs: the Cossack class still wears earrings in their ears, puts on wide trousers, and also they respect their culture.
The concert of the Cossack ensemble «Belfry» of Stanitsa Atamanskaya gave unforgettable emotions to foreign students.
