On June 10th, the Russian Language Department No.1 hosted the inter-university scientific conference «World Cultures: national colour, traditions, values» (within the International Decade of Cultures Rapprochement 2013 – 2022), which contributed to the improvement of intercultural communication, the formation of tolerance, and the achievement of mutual understanding between representatives of different ethnic groups.
Students of the Preparatory Faculty from Benin, Vietnam, Zambia, Indonesia, Lebanon, Mozambique, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Swaziland, Syria, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Chad made interesting presentations, demonstrating a reverential attitude to the culture of their countries. Foreign students made an exciting journey around the world, getting acquainted with the history, cultural heritage, sights.
Students from different countries studying both in Rostov-on-Don and in other Russian cities, as well as compatriots studying at the universities in other countries, actively supported the students of the Preparatory Faculty.
