On July 11th, 2020 seventeen foreign graduates of RostSMU from 31 countries (Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Afghanistan, Burundi, Guatemala, Guinea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Congo, Madagascar, Macedonia, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Palestine, Swaziland, Syria, Tajikistan, Togo, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, and the Hellenic Republic) were awarded graduate diplomas in the following specialties: General Medicine (58 persons), Pediatrics (1 person), Dentistry (5 persons) and Pharmacy (6 persons).
Six graduates were awarded with honors degree:
- Al-Sahli Usama Abdulwahab Mohammed (Yemen),
- Banna Murad (Israel),
- Sapkota Ramu (Nepal),
- Pasechnik Aleksandr Andreyevich (Ukraine),
- Selimshaeva Dinara Sitvelievna (Ukraine),
- Burtsev Spartak Sergeevich (Ukraine).
Thirty two foreign graduates of RostSMU were awarded with the certificate which gives the right to teach Russian at home.
On behalf of the University Administration the Vice-Chancellor on Training Foreign Citizens and International Cooperation G.Sh. Gafiyatullina congratulated the foreign graduates:
«I congratulate you on a wonderful event in your life – the graduation from Medical University! Today you will receive the diploma of one of the best and oldest universities in our country. Your studentship is almost over. You have passed one of the most important and difficult exams in life – the exam in competence. Each of you is a part of the history of Rostov State Medical University. I am sure that time will pass and the University will be proud of your success and achievements. I wish you to be purposeful, keep learning and discover new skills. Just remember that the status of Medical University graduate gives you both great opportunities and implies a high level of responsibility for the health and life of your future patients. Way to go!
