Students of RostSMU from Nigeria, Lebanon, Brazil and Tajikistan joined the group of Russian volunteers. Future doctors deliver food and medicine to senior citizens and people with limited mobility. They say that medical education gives them a significant advantage.
This help has no nationality: the whole world joins volunteering. A future neurologist from Burundi (the country in the heart of Africa) joined the group of medical volunteers. The international team of volunteers gets instructions: the temperature should be normal, hands must be in gloves and a mask on a face.
RostSMU volunteers greet each other carefully despite all security measures.
First, they go to the pharmacy: students have a list of medicine.
And then food.
In the queue they meet a 90-year-old woman. And this is even though people over the age of 65 are not allowed to leave home at all. Volunteers immediately offer help… but she has her own reasons.
Now it is prohibited to move outside. Many people order food and medicine using a single hotline number.
Medical volunteers deliver food with all precautions. They are sure that although their medical education is incomplete now, it gives serious advantages because they know exactly how the infection is spread.
