Foreign students represent Rostov State Medical University at Olympiads and competitions, as well as in cultural and creative projects, and at inter‑university and nationwide events.

The largest youth event of the year in Russia was the International Youth Festival 2016 which took place in September in Ekaterinburg.

At the large‑scale event that brought together young people from different countries, RostSMU was represented by Marsilio Cedeno Vilbert Daniel from Ecuador and Farhat Nadine and Mahdi Rola from Lebanon.

This became one of the most vivid and unforgettable events for students.

Guzyal Shamilevna Gafiyatullina, Vice- Chancellor on Training Foreign Citizens and International Cooperation of Rostov State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, highly praised the importance of such events for improving interethnic dialogue, strengthening international socio‑cultural ties and fostering a tolerant environment.
